Before the holidays really take their toll, spend some time determining the right hiring plan for next year. First, the numbers from 2015 to determine if your growth will justify additional employees. Next, look at your past hiring budgets and set one moving forward. Then look at key people within your company to consider the ways you can help them advance their career. - Get that paperwork under control.
There are so many things that need to be organized before the first of the year. Most importantly, you need to make sure you’ll be ready to issue the W4s before the January deadline. Next, clear out the old I-9s. You need to retain old I-9s for three years after the date of hire or one year after the employee left your company, whichever is later.
