  • Find out what’s important to them. Treat your employees like people. Find out what is important to them in their day to day life and take a legitimate interest. If you treat them like machines without outside interests, it will be clear that you don’t care and they will become restless.
  • Understand their individual motivation. Once you know who they are as people, you’ll begin to understand how they work best within your office environment. Incentives don’t have to be the same across the board. Personalize them for each employee’s style and interests.
